This role centers on the responsibilities of section 42 of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act No 38 of 2001, as amended.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><br /><p><b><u>Key Result Areas / Outputs</u></b></p><br /><ul><li>Review and investigate alerts generated from the Actimize platform in accordance with approved SOPs and internal standards.</li><li>Ensure alert reviews are performed consistently and aligned to documented procedures to support governance and regulatory defensibility.</li><li>Assess sanctions, PEP, adverse media and SAM alerts and determine true matches versus false positives.</li><li>Conduct transactional analysis to identify unusual activity, suspicious behaviour and potential money laundering typologies.</li><li>Conduct investigations and prepare high risk reports for Committee/Executive approvals.</li><li>Maintain clear, structured and audit ready case documentation for all alerts reviewed.</li><li>Escalate potential true matches or suspicious matters in line with internal escalation and reporting procedures.</li><li>Ensure alerts are reviewed within defined SLAs and regulatory timeframes.</li><li>Support quality assurance reviews by addressing findings and strengthening control consistency.</li><li>Identify recurring data, system or process gaps impacting alert quality and escalate for remediation.</li><li>Contribute to governance reporting on alert volumes, ageing, trends and emerging risks.</li><li>The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and may evolve in line with regulatory requirements, business needs and enhancements to the financial crime control framework.</li></ul><p> </p><br /><p><b><u>Qualifications, Skills and Experience:</u></b></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><br /><ul><li>Matric/ Grade 12</li><li>Certificate in Anti Money Laundering and Compliance Management, advantageous, or equivalent combination of professional experience</li><li>CAMS or CFE advantageous</li></ul><br /><p><b>Experience:</b></p><ul><li>5&#43;
