Job Description

Le Conseil Norvégien pour les Réfugiés (NRC) is an international non-governmental organization of Norwegian origin, present in more than 25 countries around the world. It has been operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo since the year 2001. Its programs are focused in the sectors of Education, Rapid Response to Population Movements (RRMP), Protection and Humanitarian Mediation, Shelter, EHA (Shelter/Wash), and Information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance (ICLA) in favor of populations constrained to displacement.

Under the supervision of the Area Operation Manager, the Driver will ensure the safe, effective, and compliant transport of the organization's personnel and goods, in accordance with NRC procedures, while ensuring the vehicle's good condition and compliance with safety rules and the requirements of donors.

Responsibilities

• Know how to drive and have received the required training from the competent authority
• Professional experience in a support function in a humanitarian context
• Previous professional experience in complex and unstable contexts
• Proven results in the responsibilities of the post
• Basic computer knowledge
• Knowledge of the socio-economic, legal, and environmental context of South Kivu province
• Fluency in French and Swahili
