Responsibilities

• Provide direct and/or indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure stock is charged appropriately.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to waste management principles and reporting potential risks.
• Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice, contribute to holistic care, and promote patient health and wellbeing.
• Execute procedures according to hospital standards, maintain professional conduct, and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Support the education and training of Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) and work effectively as a team member.
• Maintain professional development, comply with SANC code, and maintain competence in CPR.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, working cooperatively with others to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
• A grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• Compliance with the SANC code and applicable healthcare legislation.
• Successfully completed the 6 months specialised EN course.
• Professional flexibility in working hours, including night duty and weekend shifts.

Preferred Work Experience

• Relevant experience in the nursing discipline would be an advantage.
