About the Role

We have an amazing opportunity for a Food Service Assistant to be based at one of our sites. The Food service assistant will execute a variety of tasks associated with food production, front of house services and any general support needed regarding all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal serving.
• Prepare dining and service areas before meal periods.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, serving areas, dining rooms, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and catering equipment as required.
• Follow food safety, health, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required.
• Support stock rotation and waste minimisation practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond positively to customer requests.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or a similar environment will be advantageous.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety principles.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
