We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead and oversee all operations of our engineering-based organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, financial performance, and technical leadership across the business.

This role requires a strong combination of engineering expertise, commercial acumen, and executive leadership capability. The General Manager will ensure the organisation delivers high-quality engineering solutions while maintaining profitability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan to achieve sustainable growth
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards
  • Lead engineering, project management, operations, finance, and commercial teams
  • Drive revenue growth through business development and strategic partnerships
  • Manage P&L performance, budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track operational and financial performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related field)
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in engineering or technical operations
  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership or general management role
  • Strong understanding of project-based engineering environments
  • Proven experience managing P&L and driving financial performance
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional technical teams
