Job Summary
We are seeking a Head of Commercial Flavors Region Africa to lead our commercial efforts in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and building relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of company funds
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial decisions
- Collaborate with other functions, such as marketing and sales, to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial strategies
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
- Develop and implement plans to improve commercial performance and efficiency
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on commercial performance and progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in the food and beverage industry
- Proven track record of success in a similar role, with a strong commercial background and excellent leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand and analyze market trends and competitor activity
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
- Ability to travel frequently, with a willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
