Manager - DevSecOps Engineer.MTN Software Solutions

Responsibilities

• Achieve squad outcomes within the time boxed sprints
• Improve service delivery and achieve faster and very frequent sprint 
• release
• Maintain consistent and scalable infrastructure deployment
• Ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues thereby 
• minimizing downtime and improving overall system reliability
• Maintain secure code development, vulnerability scanning, access 
• control and compliance with industry standards
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance to 
• enhance efficiency, productivity and quality 
• Develop scripts to automate visualizations as per the defined 
• standards
• Enhance overall quality of software development and deployment life 
• cycle

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics and Communication 
• Post graduate degree in Computer Science /Networks and /or equivalent professional qualification (Preferred) 

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant working experience 
• 1-2 years of experience in technical architecture and application development, or operations
• Expertise in optimizing applications in standalone as well as distributed systems environment to maximize performance 
• Experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation, monitoring systems and incident management 
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus 

Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages ( e.g., Shell, Python )
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems, protocols, and industry standards
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices 
• Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance

Key Duties

• Assist in defining goals, roadmaps, and timelines for achieving continuous integration, deployment, and delivery in the sprint 
• product/service release
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management 
• of infrastructure components
• Establish and manage robust continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable frequent, automated 
• software releases
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to provide real-time visibility into the performance, health, and availability of telecom 
• systems and applications
• Utilize technologies like containerization (e.g., Docker), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and load balancing to ensure 
• system scalability and reliability
• Lead incident response efforts during critical system failures or outages
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents quickly 
• and effectively
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security measures, best practices, and compliance standards
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement access controls, and ensure data protection and privacy with regulations like GDPR
• Foster collaboration between development, operations, and other teams involved in the software delivery lifecycle
• Guide junior team members, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote best practices in DevOps methodologies
• Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best 
• practices in cloud security
• Evaluate existing processes, tools, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Propose and implement 
• enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs etc.
• Manage and ensure SLAs and KPIs of services are maintained
• Execute releases into production environment thereby ensuring delivery as per agreed timelines and scope
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation within the DevOps team
• Actively learn, share knowledge and the adopt to new technologies and methodologies to enhance processes and drive innovation
