Manager - Internal OpCo Demand

Responsibilities

• Support OpCos with International Connectivity needs
• Collate OpCo inputs to forecast capacity demand
• Price international connectivity
• Lobby cable consortia on behalf of OpCos
• Act as the central point of contact for OpCo capacity requests
• Sell international capacity and connectivity to MTN OpCos
• Manage accurate and up-to-date OpCo capacity demand forecasts
• Liaise with sourcing and partner manager for capacity purchase
• Support OpCos in determining international connectivity needs
• Manage settlement toward OpCos for Bayobab capacity delivery
• Coordinate delivery for OpCo international capacity needs
• Act as the central point of contact for OpCo support issues
• Identify Bayobab submarine connectivity pricing models
• Gather OpCo terrestrial connectivity pricing
• Define overall Bayobab wholesale pricing
• Support OpCos in defining internal wholesale pricing
• Provide support to Product Management teams on product development and pricing
• Ensure in-depth knowledge of international connectivity systems and architecture
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Ensure solution alignment to comply with required SLAs and/or QoS thresholds

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year academic degree (BBA, Engineering / Computer Science)
• Postgraduate qualification, MBA/Master’s (Economics, Engineering / Computer Science), preferred
• English; French is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years relevant commercial experience in the fixed-line international telecommunications industry, preferably in enterprise/carrier business
