Payables Analyst

<p><strong>Purpose of the Job</strong></p><p>To ensure all Accounts Payable related accounts are analyzed, anomalies identified, and corrective steps taken. To provide analysis that would enable management to make effective business decisions.</p><p></p><p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p><p><em>Analysis of Payable Related Accounts</em></p><ul><li>Conduct analysis and reporting of all Accounts Payable related accounts together with identifying anomalies and taking corrective action to ensure compliance with financial regulations.</li></ul><ul><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Reports include (not limited to):</li></ul><p></p><p>- Creditors with debit balances</p><p>- GRIR Reporting</p><p>- Identify GR/IR accounts for reconciliation (By Vendor Recon Accountants)</p><p>- AP Aging Reporting</p><p>- AP Control Extract</p><p>- Dashboard raw data</p><p>- Balance Sheet Assurance</p><p></p><p><em>Operations Activities</em></p><ul><li>Perform month-end and year-end activities for GS Payables by ensuring that the relevant activities and processes are followed, and deadlines are met in accordance with financial regulations.</li><li>Trend analysis, root cause identification, productivity insights</li></ul><p></p><p><em>Query Management</em></p><ul><li>Manage new and ongoing queries through logging and resolving queries related to Accounts Payable accounting to ensure all operational matters are in order.</li></ul><p></p><p><em>Business Controls, Audit &amp; Governance</em></p><p></p><ul><li>Manage internal and external audit requirements for Accounts Payable. Ensure adherence to business procedures, controls and policies</li></ul><p></p><p></p>
