About Us:

VisionFund International is a leading microfinance institution that provides financial services to low-income households and small businesses in developing countries. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resource Development & Management Advisor to join our team in Kigali, Rwanda.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement resource mobilization strategies to secure funding for VisionFund International's programs and operations
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, loans, and investments
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders
• Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and other financial documents
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure effective use of resources and achieve program goals
• Provide technical assistance and capacity building to program teams and partners
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and donor requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in resource development, fundraising, or a related field
• Proven track record of securing funding from donors, grants, and other sources
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
• Ability to travel frequently to program sites and donor meetings
• Strong understanding of microfinance, financial inclusion, and development issues
• Experience working in Rwanda or a similar context
• Familiarity with donor requirements and regulations
• Strong budgeting, financial management, and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
