Job Description
The Pacific Community (SPC) is the principal scientific and technical organisation in the Pacific region, supporting development since 1947. We are guided by our mission of empowering Pacific Island communities to drive and sustain development in an equitable and sustainable manner. We are looking for a Social Scientist (Coastal Fisheries and Aquaculture) to join our team in Nouméa, New Caledonia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Pacific Community's work in coastal fisheries and aquaculture, including the development of policies, strategies, and programs to promote sustainable fisheries and aquaculture practices in the Pacific region. The position will also involve working closely with other SPC divisions, as well as with regional and national stakeholders, to ensure that the work of the Pacific Community is aligned with the needs and priorities of the Pacific Island countries.
