Role: Unit Manager
Responsibilities
- Coordinate improved quality nursing care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice.
- Monitor and ensure nursing care and service delivery within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team.
- Coordinate capacity building, mentoring and training.
Duties
- Consistency of Care: Manage acuities and skill mix, manage department costs, ensure correct billing and stock management, facilitate timely and accurate file compilation.
- Governance and Quality Management: Identify quality improvement opportunities, develop and measure strategies, monitor safety standards, ensure compliance with protocols and Acts.
- Patient Care: Ensure safe, cost-effective quality patient care, evaluate patient journey and nursing quality indicators, communicate with patients, promote health and wellbeing, implement infection prevention principles.
- Transformation of Our Society: Achieve transformation goals, actively participate in teamwork, engage in personal and professional development, manage staff effectively, build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Disruptive Innovation: Implement medical technologies, digitisation, and data solutions for the benefit of the business and patients.
